PS3: Official Unveiling

The Sony press conference unveiling of PS3 is at 11 tonight over here.

Has M$ stolen it's thunder?, will Sony blow 360 out of the water?, are there any decent launch games?, will games in an advanced development stage be shown?, will there be anything new added by it to the console industry mix?, will PS3 just be more powerful?, anyone waiting for something revolutionary?

it's an hour later or something, isn't it? I heard the whole backwards compatibility thing will be settled at it.

I dont suspect the ps3 to be much more than a powerful machine, it wont be ground breaking or anything.

Ps3 better have something amazing in store. Wireless controllers a must. It should be interesting to see what the controller looks like, hopefully they ditch the inferior joypad they currently flog. Ninty have always had the best controllers imo

I like the saturn pad. it has 6 front buttons and an L and R. As far as i remember it also had a start.

never liked pads with 4 L and R buttons or only 4 buttons on the front. And whats with the square circle rubbish. It should always be ABCXYZ.

Using all 3 controllers of the current gen, as I had all 3 consoles, I think for me really it goes xbox, cube, and ps2 in last place.

Ps2 is good for fighting/driving games, but I find it horrible for FPS games, not as accurate as the Xbox one.

Eurogamer just said that METAL GEAR SOLID 4 will be shown at the press thing tonight. If theres only one game I'd want to see at E3, it would be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but after that it would be MGS.

Don't you know your shapes? Letters are too easy.
I prefer the PS2 controller I like the placement of the joysticks better than the xbox one. But I still hope sony changes it but keeps the plugs the same so you can transfer your PS2 controller to the PS3 console. This unvieling better be good.

IMO the positioning of the analog sticks is the worst thing about the PS2 pad. They should follow the GC/Xbox pad and put the left stick where the dpad is.
