Right, did anyone catch this DJ set? It rocked the place...but I have a question!

Anyone name the 2nd/3rd track he played at teh start of his set; it's a really old skool piano track and he played snips of it before moving into it fully. It'd be fairly well known by dance enthusiasts but I thought I'd ask here ahead of the asking such a vague question in the dance forum.

Sorry but that's all I know!

Thats just a guess but its fits your description and since there is a sh*t version doing its rounds atm, I wouldnt be surprised if the played it.

If thats not it, you will have to give us more to work with.

Im pretty p*ssed off that I missed it but I hadnt a clue who was on when. I only caught Ian Brown because a I bumped into a friend who was on his way over (and thank god for that!!).

How were they? I heard theyre great live, even if it is only a DJ set.

You genius! +rep! That's it before I even listen to the sample. It just totally left my head. Yeah I heard it was 'due' for a re-release. The original still rocks though, and whatever version he was spinning sounded flawless to me.

BRILLIANT! No really, I waited for the whole set 'cause I'd never managed to see them live...and didn't expect anything too amazing from a plain ol' set. But they had a crazy live bongo all through the entire thing. The GA MC added a bit too but his mic was off for half of it. Tbh the records he played just built up and up to a great crescendo. I was in the front row enjoying every minute. Naturally the crowd went crazy after he built it up to Superstylin' at the end but myself, well I just ignored the girly calls for it and enjoyed every minute leading up to it. Obviously it was good live too :D

Didn't you get a 'gig guide' thingy from the almost naked ladies at the main entrance?! You missed that too?

icon8.gif Well f*ck it anyway. And I was told to go to them, just like I was told to go see Soulwax last year but didnt. My brother was telling me he saw them play up in the Guinness Storehouse(?) and that it was one of the best gigs he had ever been at.
