Im connecting my ps2 to my netgear DG834G router/modem.

I currently have a pc and a mac using that router to connect to my Utv Clicksilver dsl connection but i cant get my ps2 to connect.

I am sure that i am entering all my info correct but when i test the settings it says: unable to bring up connection.

    I am using utv clicksilver.

I have entered my username and password on the setup and i have auto obtain dns etc but still no joy.

    Can any body help?

Is the DHCP server on your router enabled? Can you disable any firewall type things?

try connecting the PS2 directly to the DSL modem if you have a seperate modem and router. If you need to (and can), borrow a non-router dsl modem from someone to try it out.

edit: You're using the disc that comes with the network adapter / PStwo, right? Some games have alternative programs built in to create an online configuration file. The only ones i can think of right now are the 2Ksports games (formerly ESPN). Try an alternative to the original sony disc. Doubt that'll help, but it's worth trying.

use your pc to access the router's interface and make sure it's gving an IP to the PS2
