Driving past ALSSA recently by the airport i saw a sign for "single membership €175" Is anyone a member or anyone have any info about this? Is this just a member fee and you have to pay for use of the facilities? Or do you pay and then go when you like without further charge??? It seems very cheap, cheaper than Westpoint which is offering me €350 as an ex member (now €495).

I was going to join westpoint if my wife could get the €350 price but they said no, she has to pay full price... So i said thanks anyway. So westpoint lost out on €700... their loss i guess.

Im looking for a cheap but good gym, i will NOT pay any more than €400 per person for a year. Its a rip off as far as im concerned. Most places seem to get away with charging over €600!!!

My parents got a family membership while back. You do have to pay each time you go. I think also you need two signatures from Aer Rianta staff to get membership approved. Although that was a while ago so maybe they changed it. They have a website so you might get the info you need there.

Website? Where??? If they had one like www.alssa.ie or anything remotely like that or even one you can find with google i probably would not have even posted this. :D

Pay each time? That sucks.. Will stay away i think.

Used to be a member there. Staff family member, so I got discounts, but you still have to pay to use the gym, pool, etc. on top of membership.

Yes i got an email back from them after getting the site..
"Yes €175 is for a single person for the year. It is €220 for a family which includes husband and wife plus all children up to the age of 21 years. These are pay as you go prices eg. it is €1.80 for a swim in main pool and €2.50 for gym. For an all inclusive gym and swim membership but you would have to pay for other facilities it is €600 for the year"

So its not too bad if you went pay as you go and only went twice a week but any more and it becomes more expensive.
