Does anybody have any experience with this? I tore mine probably about 4 years ago, and i never got it checked out because i mistook it for tendonitis. I've torn it several times since then, so its probably a severe case. Can anybody tell me, from personal experience, about treatment and rehab, and how close you were to 100% when you came back?

    Hey Amaru,

I'm a sports therapist on the side, work for rugby clubs etc. Prob with ligament damage is that ligaments receive quite a restricted blood supply, which makes it a real pain in the ass to heal. If you haven't seen anyone bout it- how u know its cartilage?
Whereabouts have you got the pain?

    Dave

I never said i hadn't seen anybody about it? Its been diagnosed as torn cartilege. What i want to know is if anybody has any personal experiences with it, because i don't put much faith in doctors estimates(recovery time etc) and stuff like that.

Thats why i assumed you never got it checked out.

Regular Doc's and GP's are useless for the likes of muscle injuries and the like, best bet is check out an Osteopath, Physiotherapist, and possibly Acupuncture. But with proper exercise and manipulation, there's every reason for it to get back to 100% or pretty close anyway. Again, where did you injure?

Oh right. No, i meant i didn't get it checked out when it first happened. I saw somebody about 3 months ago. And it was my knee.
