This came up on another thread sometime ago but i can't really find it. I just cancelled the direct debit for my gym. Now the thing with the gym is they require that you give 3 months notice if you want to cancel membership. But in all fairness, FúCK THAT! it's 60e a month for christ sake, those three months are worth 120e!

So do ya's reckon they'll do anything about it? I haven't used it in ages and now i have a free gym in work.

    wouldn't €60 a month be €180 after 3 months?

I have heard of that and I have heard of people who have recieved letters from collection agencys after cancelling gym memberships.

Personally I have cancelled mine before the two month notice period as I moved out of the area and I got a phone call from the gym saying that if I didn't pay up it would be referred to a collection agency.

I said to the girl that I couldn't remember signing any contract with a clause like that init and as of yet I havn't heard anything, that is two months later.

woops, yep, i must have been thinking of 2 months..

i guess i'll just have to wait it out. I don't want any collections agents after me but then again i don't want to pay 180e for something i'm not gonna use, and something i haven't used in as many months.
