Best place you’ve ever been on holidays to?

I’m going on a world trip with a few friends! This is our first time travelling! Just wondering if anyone has been to the Maldives or similar islands around the world what do we need to bring/know? Besides money! Any comments will be appreciated…

It kinds depends on what type of holiday your going for, will it be a camping, rough and ready type of effort, or hostels and guesthouses sort of thing?

One thing I'd definitly recommend either way is the best mosquito and bug repellant you can lay hands on, at one stage I got attacked so badly that I had no less that 70 bites all over my body

The trip is a bit of everything! camping guesthouses all the above! We're just gonna take everyday as it comes, We just arrived in auckland first port of call & the weather here sucks raining 100km/h winds, same as back home really! it is winter here after all...

Wouldn't recommend the Maldives. My friend was there for a week and said she got very bored towards the end. Its really a relax and do absolutely nothing kind of holiday
