I want ankle socks in plain red or plain orange, mostly cotton with a little bit of lycra to keep them in shape.
No flowers, no cartoon characters, no stars or glittery stuff... JUST PLAIN GIRLS SOCKS, DAMNIT!

Heh... I think I've tried nearly everywhere in town in Dublin.

Anyone know where I might get them?

Penneys if you only want to wear them once. The damn things shrink in the wash! M&S do some plain coloured ones. Dunnes may do some. Just try all the usual underwear places.

Yep, Penneys do ONE pair of red, poor-quality socks in a 4-pack with 3 other colours I don't want.
Dunnes do pastel coloured plain socks or patterned non-red socks unless I want kiddies socks. I don't!
    M&S don't have any red.

Arnotts have some, but on principle I refuse to wear any supposedly *trendy brand name* socks. :)

I don't mind buying them online... but I can't even *find* them online. :(

My quest is for PLAIN red or orange, not for red with HILFIGER written in black all over them, hence my original post.

    *I* will see them!
Anyway...I like red lots. And orange is a good alternative to red.
