Hmm. I wonder what you actually get for the extra 150 or so yoyo a year.
I'm on 1Mb/s, and rarely find more than about 100kb/s available.

The 2mb line has lower contention 24:1 and no cap.

    The 1mb line has a contention of 48:1 and a 30gb cap.

    Hi Joe,

I live only up the road from yourself and am going to order too....(but I think my LOS is blocked by trees! I hope not...)
The 2MB connection sounds good - fast and no cap.
Any tips apart from asking for the 5.8ghz equipment?
Whats the best way to order from them? Phone / fax / email?
Are they still doing free installation?
I think I heard it on the radio that the offer closes May 15th.
Does it still apply if I order now, but am connected after the date?

    Cheers.

Thanks for that Opti - perhaps IMB is enough for the moment.
Would you mind if you PM'd that email address to me if you get the chance tomorrow? I'd really appreciate that.

When I came home from college last night I noticed the connection had disconnected and reconnected. Paid no heed though.
Downloading a torrent it reached 180KBs, but seems to level out around 130KBs which is not much better than what I was getting on 1Mb.

edit - It's actually just hit 222KBs and is steady at 215KBs.
    Nice.

honestly i wouldnt recommend it to any1 in its current state, unless its just me....i cant even tell if ive been upgraded or not, as my speed has been consistently pants for about a month and a half.

    Hi All,
Ripwave is not too bad tongiht:

    Downstream 73 Kbps (9.1 KB/sec) 78 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 16 Kbps (2.0 KB/sec) 17 Kbps (inc. overheads)

    Quite stable also. :D
