Well maybe it's just me or is there a large amount of quite popular bands releasing new singles in anticipation of their new albums...

heres a few+if anyone would like to go into greater detail on their subsequent albums please do :)

1)Ryan Adams And The Cardinals - Let it Ride

Absolutely dig this track. It's certainly a voyage back to his country/folk days but it still works for me... Have a few of his latest album tracks (from Cold Roses) on the pc and they're quite good. Still not sure about the rest though..

    2)Weezer - Beverly Hills

Ah how much I missed weezer and was delighted to see them back with this track. Can't say it's the best thing they've written, but can't wait to hear their new album (out the 10th...oh wait that's tomorrow!)

3)Foo Fighters - Best Of You

I've had this song on constant repeat the last couple of days. Besides a lot of people giving out about it not being "rock" enough, I'm completely digging it. There is just something about the song, it's hook is rather more subtle than one would expect of a general Foo Fighters track

    4)Audioslave - Be Yourself

Video kind of reminds me of one of their past singles... But still the more I listen to it, the more I start to like it.

5)Audioslave - Your Time Has Come

(Only released on the internet on audioslave.com so far..) To me this sounds like a rehash of Cochise so I'm not too impressed, but maybe it will grow on me with time...

    6)Oasis - Lyla

Hmm.. Being the casual Oasis listener I was intrigued to hear this as I had read/heard so much in the media about the supposed disintegration of the band musically. And to my surprise (well not really) this song isn't half bad...

7)The Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.

Absolutely absolutely think this is a great track (and being honest I wouldn't usually be big on ANYTHING that has a rapper in it) but regardless it's a great great track and I finally think Dave has a killer album in the works..

That's all really - sorry if I wasted your time.. But do feel free to ad/disagree :)

aye but it is such a pity that it only happens for major record labels such as geffen.

I'm absolutley digging the new Coral single ''In The Morning''. Its so pleasant and a brill tune to get you through those lazy summer days. Their fourth album ''The Invisable Invasion'' follows the single.

Beverley Hills is unfotunately the norm for the writing style on the new album by the uber-geeks.......

Some killer songs, but lyrics by Mother Care.....

and I really like Weezer :(

Oasis' new album consists of mainly great music (with a couple of duds). 9 very good tracks out of 11 is pretty impressive, and a good return to form for the lads.

listened more a bit more to Ryan Adams' And the Cardinals "Cold Roses"... Some good tracks, but besides that, not much :/ Which is a pity.. Atleast we've got two more albums this year to look forward to

I disagree. I gave it a good listen, but its another down-tempo mediocre album. They've almost turned to a folk-rock band at this stage. Similar in some ways to the sound of the coral, except without the catchy tunes. Nothing like the old-school Oasis.

But the Oasis album isn't out till the end of the month?
What sort of time-travelling machine are you people using?
