    Seen on the Leinster Rifle and Pistol Club website today;
    I recieved the following notice ,

    An inaugural Meeting of the Long range Rifle Association will take place on May 12th at 20:00 hrs

    Venue , The Coachmans Inn , Airport Road , Cloghran , Co Dublin .

    this association will look after the following shooting diciplines in the Republic and All Ireland where appropiate .

    NRA ( UK ) and NRA ( USA ) target rifle and Match Rifle , 800,900 & 1000 yds
    National F Class Shooting dicipline
    National Classic Rifle
    300m three positional & Prone Shooting Dicipline

    All shooters with a current Centerfire Rifle Firearms Cert are invited to attend this meeting

    Further Details can be obtained from Mr Michael Ryan , 087 2265336 up to 22:00hrs STRICTLY

    this looks very interesting to anyone interested in Long Range shooting , See you all there....

    Looks interesting (I'm wondering if it's the same crowd the NRPAI stepped on at their AGM when Midlands was trying to organise fullbore shooting a bit better a few years ago), but I strongly suspect that they won't be able to administer the 300m shooting discipline (that's an ISSF discipline and ISSF will only recognise rifle or pistol teams nominated by the NTSA - though that doesn't rule out cooperation between the NTSA and this new group, similar to how the NTSA and Pony Club cooperate with coaching for air rifle).
