Internet Game Research

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping that ye can help me out with some research. I've to design a basic game which can be played via the Internet. The game has to also incorporate some elements of sound. Sound has to aid in the playing of the game. I am aiming to have this game orientated towards both sexes. I will also be aiming to not have any violence in the game i.e. no blowing up people or shooting things, all hippy and the likes My thoughts currently are to aim the games towards some sort of puzzle.

Can ye please give me some answers to the following questions? I have little experience playing games online and would be very grateful if ye could. My target audience is those aged between 18-22.

puzzle games particularly anything at all that is well done and original though
Most important: graphics, humour, originality. least important: um there's a vulgar amount of sexual content and extreme violence in some games. it works occasionally, like with the pico games, but usually it just seems like total ****.
games i liked: pico's school and lots of stuff I cannot recall the names of but shall try to describe vaguely: pearls game, the games on a site with characters made out paper, a puzzle game where you had to get your matchstick men to open a portal, a game where you explore a wonderful alien world---one of the early scenes had a character smoking what looked like an opium pipe. oh and word racer on y! messenger is good.

What similar games have you liked or disliked, and why? In terms of flash games? Liked Collapse, Puzzle Fighter, Tetris, Pac-Man... Disliked some of the games on Yahoo, Cubis in particular.
