Okay, so in a time and place where they have faster-than-light travel, guns with seemingly unlimited ammunition, sentience-level AI, and at the same time the religious leaders have mastered mind-reading, telekinesis and telepathy, why has it not occurred to anyone to put a bloody safety rail on any of the long perilous walkways with thousand-feet drops below them.

It's okay if you're a Jedi master and so in tune with the force that you could probably walk along it with your eyes closed, what about the poor bastard that has to do basic maintenance or add a fresh coat of dark grey paint?

Think of the thousands of lives that and millions of credits worth of droids that must be lost each year! Think of the children! End the madness.

You should see it in Quake II - open lava pits, unprotected edges, crates that fall, elevators without safety guards, rocket propelled grenades fired indoors ..... the list goes on!

Call me cynical but I sometimes get the nagging feeling that there's someone working away in the background who actually WANTS people to fall into these perilous holes purely for his own amusment.

Anyway, send your messages to the Geonosians. They're the ones who seem to build all the stuff.

the reason is simple, most manual labour that would be done in these areas is done by droids, and if adroid falls off well who really cares
