To be nonest, there's crap teachers in every school. In mine, they majority seemed to be maths/science teachers! Just study as much as you can, see if you have older siblings friends who can help you with exam papers etc.

And if you fail, you fail. The leaving cert isn't the end of the line. There are ways around getting into college or whatever it is you wanna do.

    Just do your best! :D

3.1 isn't a bad rating. My ex english teacher has 1.9.

    lol,

I looked at my old school that I did my leaving in and honestly, those ratings are screwed. Some are approaching right, but some of the best teachers in my old school, have ratings like,"Worst teacher ever like" etc.

Personally I think it is the people who are particularily dumb who use that site. Honestly the ones who are good enough to do a good leaving realise that teachers are only doing their job, and that they can't please all the students all the time.

It's sobering to realise that the ones who complained loudest are the ones pumping petrol back home, the ones who got on with it and just did what needed to be done are in the good jobs now.

    Just goes to show eh?

Edit: Oh and you will fail your leaving because you are an idiot. Not because of a bad teacher. I had a terrible teacher for english at leaving level and I got an A1 in it. Bad teachers do not make people fail. They just don't help the people who are going to fail unless they are held by the hand and lead through the whole thing.

Honestly if you think that one bad teacher is going to fail your leaving for you, you have a hell of a lot of growing up to do.

Then again maybe I'm cynical in my old age ;)

aww poor you, study at home in fairness,
Crap teachers are annoying but surely you can read the books yourself?

You know when you get to College they won't walk step by step with you like school :)

Also it seems somepeople actually think he's good at his job,
Very good teacher, taught the class very well and was very clear and concise with his teachings. Tended to get easily annoyed tho.

    teachers are only facilitators.
if you want to pass, then do some study.

It does help a hell of a lot to have a good teacher though.

do you think you might just pass if instead of complaining here about how bad your teacher is that you sat down with your business book and studied some of it? business is easy for the leaving. i did zero study and still came out with a b in honours... and i aint smart.

A teacher I had when I did my LC in '98 died last year of cancer, think he was only 30. He got great reviews

One of the best teachers I ever had.

    My god.

Are secondary students really like this these days?

Also, what Nesf said. It requires work on your part to get anywhere, and hard work at that.
