i think what youre talking about is the proposed move to extend the ban after 9pm to 10pm in summer for children-afaik it stands at 9 at the moment

think it was the irish times i read it in

    Thanks buddy,

Do you know anymore about it, or where I should look for more info. I'm just wondering for the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, I think its stupid if a few 16 year olds can't go to see some comedians with their parents, just because they're in a pub.

If it was up to me, they should never be left inside the door of the wretched place, it give them the impression that drinking and getting drunk is okay, and that will lead to misinformed decisions by them in later life. Plus what is a kid to do in pub anyway ? except maybe try take their eye out with a dart or try and play billards for a euro a pop, forget it pubs and kids don't mix.
