I thought it was quite interesting, although I would like to see it publicised and researched a little more before I set much stock by it. That's not gonna happen, though...

    Excellent post.

Some of those pictures are quite freaky, specially the ones of the people standing at the window frames, never saw those before.

As for the theory....well it was very well researched and like Jim above said, I'd like to see it publicised bit more.

Brilliant website. I also would like to se it researched a bit more. Very interesting though.

Some source identifications would be good. Who was this firefighter who allegedly noted only two pockets of fire??? I didn't get to read through the entire page but after the first tower fell wasn't the impact a blow to the second tower. It mightn't be primarily about the steel used. Or something to that affect...
The greatest advantage and the greatest fault about the internet is that everyone can voice their own opinions...

right near the end of this is were the firefighter on the 78 floor says that there are only 2 fires and that they could put them out...

also why is there no mention of WTC 7 in the offical 9/11 comission report?

Tinfoil hats are developed by the conspiracy to aid the mind control program!

because there are only so many hours in a day, and only so many people on the commission.

i wouldn't exactly call it a brilliant website...it's just your average conspiracy site. but maybe i'm jaded. it has absolutely no facts to back it up.
i think the pictures they put on the website are completely unneccessary and devalue their argument because of the shock value.

right near the end of this is were the firefighter on the 78 floor says that there are only 2 fires and that they could put them out...
here's the thing...the badly built mamoths of buildings were collapsing in on themselves, the fires weren't the only issue. it was the melting metal and the instability of the building's infrastructure.

because there are only so many hours in a day, and only so many people on the commission.

Thats a fairly weak excuse in all fairness
it was the melting metal and the instability of the building's infrastructure.

What melting metal would this be, and where was it?

Do a quick google and you should find some better sites than the one you originally linked to.

It'd be melting streel, and it'd be the reinforcement in the reinforced concrete used to build the towers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 458 ✭✭ll=llannah

the construction was financed by the mafia.
    i agree with nosmo.

hasnt there been over dramaticised tv shows 'bout this? i hate the whole conspiracy theory gimmick, would there not be like, much more coverage if there was even the slightest amount of fact there?

There's no reports of the steel(from the ground floor up) in either of the WTC Towers melting.

i agree with the essence of what you're saying, but the reality of the world we live in is that the media is corrupt and owned by corporations and barely a reliable source for coverage and news of the real world around us. they tell us what sells and what they want us to hear.

That thing is complete and utter nonsense. It pretends to be scientific ny using pictures and zoomed-in "forensic" photos, but it's just some guy who gets his jollies off the X-Files with nothing better to do. Here are the problems:

The imapct of the aircraft did cause structural damage to the core beams. That was established by investigation and ballistic studies with more repute than that guy. The integrity of the building can't be guaranteed if the core doesn't hold together.

The fire fighters calls in can't be taken as gospel truth. As he pointed out, there was a lot of smoke and their ability to see what was going on would obviously have been diminished. That call-in may have referred to only one part of the whole fire, or he may have just made it up.

I can't belive people take that stuff seriously.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 975 ✭✭✭Plunky

There's nothing wrong with the X-Files!!!

jeez.. that stupid conspiracy thing is a total fake. Besides even if the fires weren't enough to bring down the towers, the friggin impact from the plane was. "no fire has ever destroyed a steel building" yah well, "no plane has ever hit a skyscraper before" much less a jet with enough fuel to get to california. That's just stupid. No offense, but how could anyone believe that crap?????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 182 ✭✭HeyYou

Just to clarify, I have nothing against the X Files. i just don't believe they're based on fact. Some people are just prime candidates for natural deselection, I think that guy must have slipped into the gene pool when the lifeguard wasn't watching.

Now having seen that site it does nothing to show the proof that it is either of the conclusions that people point to. Could the accident of been simply a well planned attack, could the terrorists (they got enough to hijack not one but 2 planes) have planted explosives in the towers, could they have been disguised firefighters, rented a local store and set it up as if it was being set up and in the confusion ran over with explosive, or did the government or other organisation blow it up, neither side has enough evidence to support them properly.

True, THAT SITE proves nothing at all. However, there are OTHER RESOURCES besides that one which point to the unlikelihood of a huge conspiracy having occurred, like all the resources available to the American Government for example. Let's be honest here: who really thinks that the Americans risked crippling their entire economy by blowing up the twin towers, and who's just being argumentative?

Thats what I am saying, there is not enough definitive proof from either side.

Yes there is. The non-crazy side have plenty of proof, from reputable sources and not internet buffoons. They also have common sense on their sidem which is even more valuable in my opinion. Do people think Americans are THAT stupid?! *walks into a trap...* :D

lol that site is stupid, is it a joke?

That's how I feel about it too... :)

People who think Americas foreign policy is based on oil are missing the point methinks, it's just a convenient get-out clause for any anti-American argument. Not that it couldn't be true, but there's no way it was the main reason or even a deciding factor for taking action. That kind of logic has it's place in Michael Moore "documentaries" and in Howard Dean's speechbook, cool as that is.

I'm not by any means pro-America, certainly not as a default position. I think Afghanistan merits support though. While the civilian toll was undoubtedly high, there are always casualties in wars. The fact is that Muslim extremists were responsible for 9/11, and were being harboured in Afghanistan by the Taliban. It's perfectly legitimate for America to defend it's interests by invasion and deposition of the Taliban. As a result, we did have civilian casualties, but we also have a new democracy and a move towards development. I'd say it was worth it. Everyone always forgets that the Afghan campaign wasn't American unilateralism, quite a few countries saw the sense in it. The socialist oil argument just doesn't stand up.

There's so such that is 'wrong' with 911.

For me, I think the key to the whole thing lies in WTC7 - the third building that came down **6 hours** after the first two and received little or no media coverage or attention.

Many people don't even know that there was a third skyscraper that collapsed. Check the many vids on the following site and tell me that wasn't a controlled demolition.

    http://www.wtc7.net/
    http://www.wtc7.net/videos.html

I, like many others, have my own theories about what really happened. I think the event is a little too 'fresh' and just like the JKF assisination, the conspiracies only started to catch the public imagination around ten years after the original event.

The World Trade Center was not just the 2 towers: Many of the surrounding buildings were part of it too.

conspiracy theories are all over the place. But some seem to have more depth and substance than others.

    Check out

    http://www.stopthelie.com

and for those of you with a big pipe to the net download the movie about the Project for the New American Century. (PNAC)

    http://www.stopthelie.com/sound/hijacking_catastrophe.ram

While watching the first few minutes of the movie, consider what these people (and who they are) might do to further their aims.

    It's a little bit scary

Some of this stuff defies belief. There have been theories for years that American notes contain all sorts of references to strange and wonderful things.

See how the new notes supposedly depict the destruction of the twin towers and the Pentagon attack.

Ya gotta love this stuff :D
