Does anyone ever feel like they just want to feck off and go live on a desert island somewhere out in the Pacific??

Just seems life would be much easier sitting on a beach, making wood cravings and listening 2 a round up radio be much better for the soul than the daily grind of Dublin city.

Yes, of course... or at least until that gets boring.

How to get there? Well I'd recommend a shipwreck.... Plane crash could work but it's a bit riskier. Just try to make sure that you're fairly near to the island before you sink so that you don't have to swim for very long.

You may carve some food while you're at it.

A radio that only plays the last 2 minutes of a news bulletin all the time.

I could make do with a little hut. I feel I could get lost in that residence.

I'm thinking from looking at my 1st post that perhaps a dictionary would be helpful on the island!! I am a bit dyslexia mind, so the dictionary could be a bit difficult!

You could get quite a few fires started with a large dictionary.

I went 4 weeks without a tv in the states!!! So i think I could handle it. especially as when I got the tv, the programmes were ****e! sure I'd just go around collecting shells and the like! And make fancy grass skirts!

Ok it's not a desert island, but I found an island in the Gulf of Corinth in Greece, and I want it. It has it's own beaches, olive groves and vineyards - and it's only €850,000!!
I suggest we all club together and buy it, and call it The Cuckoo's Island

No i just want some new hobbies and shell collecting and grass skirt fashion would sound great on a CV.

Plus it means getting away from the assholes who live in Dublin city.

What's the island called Fishie? I can go check it out if you want!

You can go to a Greek island for the summer and work on a beach bar if you so wish. Great fun doing that, you get to meet all the workers on the island and get up to loads of jams and japes and get paid bugger all but it's a fine life for a few months. Only thing you have to do is get there early.
