do any guitar companies have good ranges at around 1000 euro. my friend has an ibanez he bought for around 1000 euro and i dont like it at all .there doesnt seem to be a leap in quality from 500 or 600 euro guitars to ones costing a grand. there seems to be a huge leap up to 2500-3000 for really good guitars (prs custom and les paul standards, i hear the cheaper gibsons are not very good). give me something to think about at this price.

You could get a higher range of guitar second-hand easily for that price.

Dabhoys got his McCarty for 900, so you can get a lovely deal at that price. My Les Paul cost about 1450, but I probably could have found a better deal did I not fall in love with a particular one. Personally I think the Ibanez's in that price bracket are fantastic guitars but each to their own. You could definitely pick up an SG Standard at that price with a bit of work on eBay.

There was an SG Faded for 1000 in Waltons last time I looked. I was thinking about that in the future. It could have been a special.

if you are going to buy this don't forget to take a dump on your €1000 first.

    try here

even at that i'd try look around second hand...

i'll leave the rest to doctorJ he's good at finishing that sentence

    Ummm... now?

Look here and , of course, at Chris Guitars

If you are going to spend a grand then yes, second hand ought to net you fantastic instrumnet for the money. Have a look at 2nd hand Patrick Eggle guitars at that price, if you like the look. They're as good as PRS but without the hype or overblown price tag. You won't find anything to complain about.
