Can anyone name for me the Pixies' song in which they jump off a cliff, run down a rocky beach, REEEEALLY slow? I saw it on mtv2 about 2 weeks ago, killer riff if ever i heard one, and it's always ringing in my head, but I don't know the name of the song

yeah. it's so eccentric it just rules. i wouldn't advise it as a first video though! if a band's trying to get noticed, slo-mo isn't the way to make your first video!

I'd have to disagree, I had never heard of the pixies when I saw that video but I was hard pressed to forget them after it. In fact I've only ever seen the video the once and it's still with me now.

Adore The Pixies but I hate that video...in fact, the vast majority of their videos are terrible.

It's really not a big deal to be honest. Maybe he didn't grow up around people who liked the pixies. They aren't in the media alot at all.

Well that song came out and I saw the video about 15 years ago, so I was 7. I think to have discovered the pixies at that age is pretty impressive. Especially as an only child with no older siblings to steer me in the right direction.

i only started listening to them in the past few months but i wasnt born when they first came out so i cant help that, they are so under rated though, they're just brilliant!
ive only seen the one video on launch( 'velouria') anyone know if there is any other videos online?

Ahh now, thats a little harsh! I really like the video for "Here comes your man". I thought that was a great video!

The "Velouria" video is class alright, but if you want cheese you should see the video for "Alec Eiffel". They're all standing in front aof a wind machine, wearing sunglasses and shiny shirts, singing and playing their instruments,

I suppose that the Pixies were just getting big at the same time that record companies were beginning to realise the power of the video, and then they broke up. You can watch on their videos as well as concert footage on this dvd

I reckon they played it smart and didn't blow all their money on expensive videos unnecessarily. The vids for 'Head On' and 'Monkey Gone To Heaven' rock. Cheap and effective. Roll on the 23rd of August.
