Graphics Card

    hi. i have a dimension 8300 for a coupke of yrs now. not one sign of trouble up to now. i was just surfing and bam, all these green lines appear on screen.

    Is my graphics card bust or what? I have included a pic. Please any suggestions are very welcome please.

    That looks nasty.

    Have you tried your gfx in a different pc or a different gfx card in your?
    Even try a diff monitor just to find out which is bust.

    Looks like what happens to My PC when teh GFX card comes out of the AGP port... If its popped out a bit the screen wll go like that ... As mine does. Try re-slotting the video card in its agp slot.

    Exact same problem happened to me, ended up getting a new graphics card and it hasn't happened since. Head over to the dell forums and do a search, there are many 8300 owners with the same problems. You running an ATI or an nVidia?

    My 9800 pro looked a bit like that after I'd wrecked it. I'd try re-seating it in the AGP slot though.
