When playing original dvds the sound and picture are out of sync. Even if i change scene or fast forward the sound and picture stays the same. Its definitly the dvd player as ive tried different dvd's and another player.

Anyone know why this has happened. Would a dvd cleaner disk sort this problem out?

Well try giving it a clean, as it's the cheapest and easiest option. If that doesn't work post back. If it's anything more serious, probably cheaper buying a new player instead of getting it fixed. They're pretty much sealed units, and hard to fix.
