Does anyone know when or if the deluxe uncut version of Leon is coming out here? The latest and I think best version of it on DVD came out in America at the start of the year, no sign of it over here.

Also it looks like I'll have to get the Region 1 version. I have a Black Diamond DVD player. I got it maybe a year ago with a TV, so I dont know the make of it, and cant find the manuals. Does anyone know how to go about unlocking this? I mean, are there any universal unlocking tricks that I could try?

Are you sure your Black Diamond does not play Region 1s? Mine does.
If the worst comes to the worst, a 'back-up' copy of a Region 1 disc can be made region-free.

Kazaanova, i got a region 2 dvd version of this movie from cdjapan a few years ago...
it was pretty steep but worth it imo.

im not sure if they're still selling it, but you should check it out..
the extras are worth the hassle, if you liked the original.

If you have the exact make you could always check the web, some dvd players have unlocking features, e.g. open dvd drawer and press 0000 or something like that. .

[edit] Here is the only copy of leon i found on cdjapan.co.jp, its a re-release with extra dvd features..but it wont be out for a couple of weeks

they also have a double pack, with both versions of the film..
