Last night i was at a concert and this girl i used to go to school with was there! When we were in school together we got on great but i was never really physically attracted to her but last night she took off her glasses for the concert and i swear she was the image of Angelina Jolie (Kind Of a superman and clark kent situtation) But anyway i was wondering if i ask her out now does that make me superficial or shallow?

yeah, its a common practise, going all the way back to good old 'plain jane superbrain' in neighbours.

she took off her glasses, wore some low neck tops, showed off her legs, and let down her hair, and she was stunning.

also used to great success in many coming of age teen films thought the late 80s and 90s.
all you need is some lip gloss, some contacts and a hair straightner, and even you or i could become a glamour model...

with regards to asking her out, if you want to, then go ahead. if you think its shallow, then thats your problem, and im sure you will feel better having upheld your moral beliefs while being on your own, or with someone ugly or fat.

One thing I can never understand is why people think they are shallow if they want to be with someone that they are attracted to, i.e. someone pleasing to their eye.

There's nothing wrong with this! How could you go out with someone if you weren't physically AND emotionally attracted to the person?

So no, you aren't being shallow. So quite wasting time posting on here, and asking the Angelina lookalike out already, before someone else snaps her up! Because let's face it, if she looks like Angelina ... ;)

    P.S.
WWM - is this your way of telling us you wanna be a glamour model?

    dont be ridiculous.

if i found the secret of beauty years ago, id be doing it by now...

besides, while i do look good in a short skirt, my hair is too short to 'let down', and i dont dress in baggy clothes.

the 'transformation' wouldnt be that specatacular.

and i only wear glasses for PC work :)

LOL - was just thinking that myself.

Imagine what she could look like if she got hold of a phone booth!

Seriously, now, if the transformation is that great then you have probably fulfilled the secret fantasy of many a young man raised on WonderWoman reruns :p

Now get out there and ask her out, young man. Maybe a trip to the eyeglass shoppe for a new pair of specs, or better yet, contacts...

The best relationships often start out this way, discovering someone you already know. Enjoy!
