    What is a decent practice amp, suitable for use at home (so not too big/loud)? Preferably one with headphone socket. What should I budget?

    I cannot recommend the Microcube strongly enough. So just get it already.

    i agree. another option is a marshall mg10. its cheaper(around 75 in musician when i bought mine).Its very good for the price but id certainly go for the cube if i had the choice!
