Just a quick one. I need to get a code listing from all the files in my directory. cat *.* > code.txt isnt enough because i need to separate each file with something like the name of the file. anyone know how to do this?

    thanks

is this on unix/linux or DOS?
    for i in *.*
    do
    echo "---------" >>code.txt
    echo $i >> code.txt
    echo "---------" >>code.txt
    cat $i >>code.txt
    echo "---------" >>code.txt
    done

    in *nix
