    Hi all,
My mum was diagnosed with high blood pressure today, and I'm wondering is there anyone here who has gone through it, and if so, do they know any ways of making it go low. Also anything that may have caused the high blood pressure.

    Thanks.

It's no big deal, you can take medication for it. Also it can be addressed by:

    Eating healthily
    Reducing salt intake
    Losing weight (if overweight)
    Being physically active
    Reducing alcohol intake
    quitting smoking

Ask your mother what the doctor said.

As one of the mods will probably say - this isn't a medical forum.

Better off asking your mom's doctor to get a proper answer.

as uthur has stated - your mother must do all of the above, wouldn't her doctor have told her all of this? The medication will help to bring it down.
