hi res monitors?

    I've got to buy 2 fairly hi res monitors for a mac G5 - it will be used for motion graphics, editing, design etc. I've always used mac monitors which are really hi resolution - but unfortunatly I'm not rich enough to splash out a grand per monitor.

    I was looking at Dell UltraShap 19'' screens on their site, EUR 314 each.. but are they any good? That's 1280 x 1024 res.. They also have 20'' monitors which are 1600 x 1200 but EUR 482.30

    The higher the resolution the better really, but there is too much choice outside of the mac world! Any advice, links or anything would be really appreciated!
