There was a check point this morning on the dublin side of the arklow bypass, they seemed to be checking reg plates, foreign registered cars and get this, they were taking samples from diesel cars/trucks im guessing looking for red diesel.

on the matter of red diesel, I goto the Northern half of the country a lot because of work but I've only seen one checkpoint in 4 years. I would of taught there would be more spot checks around the border area
