Where to buy sound insulation kits

    Any ICE-heads here? I'm looking for sound insulation materials/kits for me car in Ireland. I suspect car audio ppl may be my best bet short of buying from UK sources.

    I bought some of that stuff at my local motor factors recently (it was for my Mk escort)

    It comes in sheets about 2' X 3' - bloddy expensive though (it cost me 30 euros) sorry can't think of the name of it right now :rolleyes:

    I'm selling a full roll of Brown Bread sound deadening for €15 if you're interested (600mm X 800mm). Have used if before on two cars and its quite effective... Bought two rolls to do a job on my old car and only ended up needing half a roll, hence the spare roll.

    Might be able to do a deal - can you describe the material? Self-Adhesive? Wool or metal based? etc. Also where do you live...

    Sounds like bitumen with foil backing (well fronting). So its quite thin and heavy.
