If I reinstall Windows in my computer, will I get a new MAC address after that? Or it will not change? Do I have to update the MAC address allowances in my Wireless LAN settings if I upgrade Windows?

a mac address is a physical part of the network card and wont change without mac spoofing software.

to answer, you can reinstall windows and the mac wont change.

MAC Address is hard-coded on the modem or network card, so will not change.

Note: Some external wireless devices (usually ethernet) may allow you to use either it's own MAC, the MAC of your computer or even type in a MAC. Some network cards allow you to reprogram the MAC, and most 'unixes allow you to change the MAC reported by the network card driver.

But in the windows world it's well nigh impossible to change the MAC even if you try. Many firewalls and some software registration are based on the MAC address precisley because you can't change it by reinstalling / reformating etc.
