Well the Heineken Cup Semi-Finals are on this weekend.

    Who will get through?

Stade Francais v Biarritz Olympique Saturday 23rd April 2005, 16:00
    Leicester Tigers v Toulouse Sunday 24th April 2005, 15:30

    All on Sky Sports.

I fancy Toulouse v Biarrtiz in the Final myself. Maybe the ERC should stop having the final outside France.

    Like Pelous,

I hope to see Toulouse -v- Biarritz in Edinburgh. I saaw Biarritx play Stade Francais in the French top 16 a few weeks ago and they were awesome.

Ironically, I'm going to Toulouse for the weekend to see the play Castres in the French Championship the week before the final; and I've also got tickets for the Heineken Cup final as well! With a bit of luck it will be back-to-back Toulouse victories with the Barnhall Bruiser on board!

I reckon toulouse vs biarritz in the final... You'd fancy toulouse for that, but you never know!!!

I havent seen Stade Francais play this season but Biarritz arent great. If munster were at full strength they would have probably beat them and munster arent the team they were previous seasons. The Winner of Leicester and Toulouse id expect to win the final. Toulouse I'd reckon will win

Toulouse walked in a try, forward pass or not.

yup. couldn't happen to a nicer team :D

INdeed - great to see leicster beaten so badly - couldn't happen to a nicer (!) team. The try they got deep (very deep!) into injury flatterd the scoreline a bit.
Reckon that little fckuin runt (spell it with a "c" if you prefer) healy will get a citing for the shoulder off the ball.... little b0ll0x he is - should have been put down at birth.

    ROFL
    :D:D:D:D

Absolutely delighted that tolouse won. As for healy he should defo be cited but the reason he was so pissed off was that he was blatently held back from receiving any possible passes... :p

If the final had been Munster v Leinster in the Stade de France do you think it would have been full? Come on now... French supporters do travel. Were you at the Ireland-France (VI Nations) match this year? There was more support for France than Ireland! Pure nonsense...

:D Made me laugh that... Then I found myself agreeing with you... Gareth Thomas should have buried the fu*ker on the side line after the obvious headbut... What a runt indeed...

I disagree. Not a chance in my opinion. 40.000 Irish fans, maybe. 80.000? Don't think so...

Poor organisation ~ ERC's fault for thinking maybe they should change the location of the final (I think they were contemplating Marseilles). And back then, it is true the French supporters didn't travel "en masse" the way they do today. Honestly, since last year in Murrayfield, I am amazed at the number of French supporters who do travel! I hope it keeps going and that more and more rugby fans start travelling abroad! ;)

They wouldn't all be irish fans.

There were probably more munster and leinster fans at last years final in london than there were Tolouse fans....

just looking at the toulose, if they win this it will be their 3rd in a row, i think we might end up like formula one did with micheal schumacher, with him wining everything and not really helping the sport. all credit to toulose at the moment they are playing some amazing rugby as are most of the french teams, but are the home nations really raising up to the bar in return. Even the english teams dont have much to offer, toulose breezed by northhampton and the great lecister like they were swatting flies.
epescially the irish teams, who seem to do well through the group stages but at the end of the year really dont show up. I am just glad neither leinster or munster got toulose because it would of been a white wash.

maybe i am just ranting here but i feel if you compare the likes of leinster and toulose, on paper they would roughly evenly match but if they were to play each other tomorrow i could see a cricket score, toulose simply looked stronger, faster and generally playing a open physical game. Where as our boys in blue seem to play like they are trying to hold back water with their hands while in defence and the odd time on attack they look unimaginetive(even though they possess a great backline). Even the mighty munster didnt exactly set the tournment alight like they used to, the harliquns game in twickenham was nothing to right home about and the game in san sabastian was no great shakes ethier, so much of the second half the ball was in munster hands and really didnt make enough of the possession

i know the group stages didnt help leinster with the easy group, but as we are going i just cant see how ethier of the irish teams will pass the quarters,

Irish teams are quite good. The real problem is strength in depth. Or in cases it would seem the half backs seem to be below par in comparision to the rest of the team.

English and French teams have more money which allows them better squads. Maybe if Leinster keep using Lansdowne road or wherever they hope to go they will at least have a good bank roll
