    Hey, myself (guitar) & my mate (drums) have been trying to get to get band stuff together for about two and a half years now but have been to hell trying to find a good bassist with the right influences/motives. We really wanna get stuff together this Summer so we dont wanna waste any time. We're both 19 and in South Dublin btw. We're always writing tunes, but in the grand scheme of things we're only really starting out, so if that's a plus for you, great.

    Really we want a bassist with a good style (and some variety within that style), some ability and someone unpretentious. Being a former bassist I really know how important a solid bassist is to a group, one who writes classic bass "riffs" AND provides good foundation. Oh and someone who wants to write catchy, memorable tunes.

    There's a link below to two vocal-less tunes. They're both really rough, recorded at home with THE most basic of equipment (Audacity etc) but we just wanted to put stuff up to give people an example. The first tune is done ok but dont pay too much attention to the second one, as it says, its JUST a PREVIEW. The tune itself is finished and fine but the recording was done really badly, and everything is out of time with each other etc. You'll get the idea though, ignore it if you want. Anyway, its just a sample. DON'T be put off by this stuff if you dont like it, we have plenty of other tunes, ready to go. If you're into the influences below you'd definitley be into the stuff we write.

    These our the oldest tunes we have and they dont really represent all the music we make. Basically we like writing modern-ish stuff in the vein of the Smiths/Killers/Kings of Leon/the Kinks/Strokes/the Police/the Hives/Interpol/Franz Fredinand etc etc.......blah blah, lots of variety, we're no copycats though, just what we listen to.
