Only 7 people killed on the roads so far this month (I don't think this includes someone killed Monday night). 18 people were killed in the same period last year. http://www.garda.ie/angarda/statistics98/nroadstats.html

Still 7 people to many.

There have been no fatalities, because of an accident on the rail network since 1983 when the Cherryville Junction accident claimed 7 lives.

How many people have died on our roads since 1983?????
