    Hello folks

    I have a mate who is trying to recovery some files he removed by mistake, Data recovery seems to be something a lot of the smaller one man band consultants seem to be offering at the moment, where as before I remember people going to great lenths to get files back.

    Are there programs you can recommend to do such tasks?

    Windows? Try http://www.ontrack.com/.

    EDIT: Actually if you're feeling very brave, and its FAT32, boot from a Knoppix Cd and search for file starting with "?" :)
