    lol.

And please spell my nickname correctly, its El Bastardo!

She came a miraculous 4th after a series of No Fear calls.

For accuracy the hand that Monsieur Des is referring to is as follows:

Guy who has been short stacked all night decides UTG to go all in for about 3.5K on a 3/600 blind (afaicr). Crazy Woman calls which means nothing, Des flat calls and it comes round to me on the BB. I read UTG for a weak Ace or small pair, he's found something he wants to make his stand on, Crazy Woman could have anything, literally anything. She called 4K much earlier on with 64s, protesting that they were suited after hitting 2 pair and cleaning one guy out. Des I dont really know but I dont think its a big hand or he'd want to be headsup (he's third to act). I have TT in the BB.
I push for 17K (14K more) and Crazy Woman folds. Dex thinks for an age and drops QQ (shown) but the flop comes with an Ace and UTG wins the pot.

No personally I wanted to be headsup with Mr UTG and I dont think either of the callers can call my big reraise and I'll get their value for free too. If UTG has AK I've a 50/50 for 3-1 on my money (if the other two fold). Des insists that I was wrong to push (there are two or maybe three tables left in the tournie) but my view is that Des should have called with QQ. It makes no difference to Mr UTG who is going to win no matter which of us goes up against him but Des would have taken my chips in the side pot. I went on to split the tournie with Macker for about 850 notes including 75 credit.

Man I love seeing Des at my table, it smells like dead money ....

Ps: the nickname comes when I milk Crazy Woman for several bets to the river with a set of 2's. I reraise her on the river and she (clearly uncomfortable with her hand) calls me "Bastardo!" accross the table (in good humour) much to Des's delight :)

DeV did amp give you the money for my boards.ie subscription fees? Can you sort out my subscription, can't access subscriber forum or change tagline or any of that.

Didn't read this thread but obviously Des is right and Tom is wrong.

Well clearly QQ should call if you might be pushing TT there, but the standard play with TT there is to either call or fold. Des could of made the hand easier by raising the original all in, but presumably he wanted to see an ace and king less flop before committing himself.

    I rest my case.

Some night soon, bastrado (and thats how I'm speeling itt!) u will wake up in a pool of cold cold sweat screaming 'my dear god in heaven, what did i do, what did i do!'.

All kidding aside, well done, but never again baby, all final tables are mine, I ain't holding ur hand no more.

The gloves are off, don't come slow dancing on my floor at the end of the month, I'm taking this festival downtown. downtown to chinatown!

    hello big dragon :D

You should have called in a heartbeat Des! ;)

Very unlikely Dev has Aces or Kings imho he just wants to take it headsup with mid pocket pair versus what he hopes is a suited Ace with only one overcard. Even better if he has something like A picture card but this is unlikely (unless it's a King kicker) as he's more likely to flat call with that and take the chance that his kicker is winning for him. But the reduced outs they have make the call even easier You're getting great info thanks to the utg all-in with your QQ.

This is a great trapping opportunity when a guy goes all-in like that for a sum that isn't really going to hurt your stack and a big stack looks to take it heads up preflop.

The only reason for folding was the soft standard of the game generally and why take the risk of putting yourself out when you know there are easy chips to be had, but my chips would have been all-in in a nanosecond.

btw I know I didn't make the final table so who am I to talk ? :D

You're right Olly, I wasnt really thinking about my hand or the others as much as I was thinking about UTG's hand and how it would play against TT. I felt confident that the other two would fold as I would have expected very strong hands to go all in to corner UTG on their own or at least get more value into the pot if they are going to play 3 or 4-way.

Had Des raised I would have folded TT. I didnt think they could survive a 3-viewer flop. (ie: a flop seen by 3 opponents). It would be highly unlikely that something wouldnt come down for one of them imho so I wanted to trim the field and snap off a few bets along the way.

Des was probably cautious because I've gotten him to walk into Aces with Tens before, eh Des?

Oh and I have lots of friends in poker, but no friends on a table. I've busted good mates heads with slow played nuts and I'd expect the same back. Anything less is an underhand insult imho....

    DeV.
