How can anyone be worth 23.4 million or the 37 million paid for Figo. That is ****ing ludicrous all transfer fees should be divided by ten i.e. Figo 3.7 million . Wouldn't that just be easier

Think how much jam you could buy instead of Figo

Lets get back to basics Niall, the ball is round

One simple fact for you. Football clubs are highly sucessful business'. If a player is likely to bring in £50m in revenue then it makes perfect sense to pay £23m for him.

Veron is one of the top footballers in the world. You want to get him away from another club you have to be willing to spend large sums of money. Lazio know that 23mil is not that big a number for a club like Man Utd. Also the extra revenue he will bring in will pay for him over and over.
