Condoms affecting performance

I've recently become sexually active (for the first time) with my partner and we work with both the pill and the condom. However, I think condoms are reducing my performance. So far I've only tried Durex brand Extra-Safe and Fetherlite but I've found both to be quite tight and uncomfortable during intercourse. It's not tight enough to break (I'm not that big) but I think it does affect my erection. Also, the rim of the condom is extremely uncomfortable and irritates me during sex.

Is this normal? Should I try the Durex Comfort XL or am I getting ahead of myself? What would you suggest?

This used to happen me as well, but it pretty much went away after awhile, maybe you just have to get used to using them on a regular basis... :p

Also, there was a thread relating to larger condom sizes further down and condom problems, you might want to check tht out if it comes to it!

    Try durex advanti

Much more expensive, but they're meant to be much better than regular ones.

    Enjoy!

    eh, no IMO.
They're designed to be the next best thing if one of you has a latex allergy. But the next best thing they remain.

    Can you clear this up?
Are they good or are they bad?

They're stretchier than regular ones & you can use oil based lube with them.
They're not as tight at the rim& less restricting.

That said, i only have 1 man's view on them, but they're pretty much all he'll use & he doen't have a latex allergy.

why not just get a selection box of durex and try them out.
hell, go nuts! have fun trying them all out!

and you know, i was kinda surprised that durex did a selection box. but there are no flavoured ones in there, other wise, you know youre going to get a turkish delight out of a selection box. it always happens....
