Is there any way to convert documents prepared using the Windows version of MS Office to become compatible for use on the MAC OS?

    Thanx

convert the ms doc to pdf - of course then they cant edit it.

Openoffice.org can import ms documents fairly well and there is probably a version for the mac

save them as rtf (rich text format) and they can be opened with any program.

The only thing you can make in Access are Databases. Theres no database application in MS Office for the Mac. The latest version of Open Office 2.0 has a Java database engine called. HSQLDB So you'd have to convert your access DB from Access to this HSQLDB , or install and convert to MySQL or dBase. There are tools in OO to conect to database. Not sure if they are compatible with Access MDB files though. You have to ask your self are your database skills good enough to this.
