eye becoming from using new monitor

    I recently changed from a 17in sony (dell badged) , to an iiyama 21in vision master pro 511 i use both at 1024@ 100hz does any know why my new monitor could be hurting my eyes?

    nah i ve refresh lock on at 100mhz constant

    yeah,sorry, didnt notice that in your original post - was you last monitor - the sony - at 100mhz as well. I've heard of ppl who get headaches when the refresh rate is hig - bit strange but there you go. Otherwise mabye its the contrast ?

    I constantly get migranes from sitting in front of my college flat screens. dont know why, there flat and only 15" and my home monitor is a CRT and 21"

    100Hz should present no problem.
    That's about 2-4x what you see on a PAL TV.
    You might have to spend time adjusting to the new display.
    What is the dot-pitch of the monitor?

    Why though are you running a 21" monitor in 1024x768? That must look like ****.
