Vodafone postpaid unlock policy

Does anyone know what Vodafone's unlock policy is for contract phones? Naturally the €127 topup charge doesn't apply, but are there any other policies? (such as seeing out your contract period?)

Edit: I probably should have put this in the unlock thread, gulp.

they should do it straight away if you ask. They know they at least have your monthly rental for a year. I got a 6630 unlocked after a month without a problem.

Cool, thanks. I'm still in my minimum contract period but after clocking up a €93 bill last month (€40 on texts alone!) I decided to get an O2 SIM and get some text bundles, lol. Hence why I'd like the phone unlocked.

I ported a number of phones from o2 to vodafone recently, I know 2 of these were still in contract. The Vodafone rep told me that they can not refuse to unlock a phone, but they can charge you a penalty, I think it is the remaining months x the lowest tarrif you can switch to... Any probs threathen them with Comreg.. works every time!

Any Outstanding balances have to be paid in order to get the NAC , also teh new phones can take longer to get , other than that its ring 1907 and ask for it , the reason for this is that ur contratcted for a year anyway so doesnt really matter if you unlock your phone or not
