No link. I got a leaflet with info on it with my esb bill todday.
The webcam is wrorth 140 euro apparently so that would cancel out the connection fee.

"To claim this...email us at esbsales@irishbroadband.ie or call us on 1890564456 (9am to 6pm Mon-Fri) and quote your 9 digit ESB sustoimer supply account number.

...offer valid until 1st July 2005"

Don't think I am within their coverage yet. So I shall wait for eircom to get back to me about their offer (appliued before it ended).

I got a 2 euro cd-wow voucher with the bill too

In fairness wrt the connection fee, you do get very specialised equipment which is not cheap. So I would hardly call it extortionate. It has dropped massively from the circa €300 that they charged 2 1/2 years ago when they first went live.

You don't get anything. That equipment belongs to IBB. It's a more involved installation process but as a customer I don't really care.

The equipment is worth well over a grand. i think getting the customer to pay ~10% of its worth is more than fair. its not like the network is already in place like other dsl setups. And as they go it is not expensive when compaired to other companies that require a receiver installation.

What i mean is they need to recover the cost of the equipment off you to make it worth while. Eircom etc. need to recover €80~ off you to cover the equipment.
