15-04-2005 3:19pm#1Ok, apparently it's my job to tell you all what you really don't give a toss about anyway: What happened at the boards meet-up yesterday. It's a dirty job (altho highly fulfilling) but someone's gotta do it... Me.
Anyway, basically I'm gonna stick to the Fawlty Towers Manuel line - "I know nothing"... At least in terms of what happened between my leavin for HappyCrackhead's at 7.30 or so, and then my triumphant return into town 3 hours later. I missed out, clearly. :rolleyes:
But after that... Zane got incredibly drunk, thrown out by a bouncer, lost his bag and jacket (which, incidentally, nobody f*cking bothered to look for but me) and generally staggered from mishap to mishap... I found his jacket after every1 else had left but some1 musta nicked his bag. Poor b*stard.
Oh, peachy scored (yaay) eh... twice... ahem.
Not me though, I just wanna get that denial in first!
More importantly, I scored (yaay... meh :cool: ) a girl who's boards handle I can't for the life of me remember. Actually, I don't remember any of the boardie's names from yesterday, only their real ones, which is actually kinda useless. :rolleyes:
Did I forget anythin? Or has my reputation as a Gossip now become common knowledge!
P.S. We've gotta do that again sometime!

That's terrible, was anything valuble in the bag like a cd/mp3/mini disc player? Did many important books go missing?
Hopefully somehow it turns up, was this in a club? Try ringing them and seing if it turned up I suppose.
So who ended up with who then? We want to know ALL the gory details

Yeah, Zane rang them today... They said nobody'd handed it in, and they hadn't found anythin when they cleared the place up. It's definitely been nicked. Eh... I wouldn't like to say, but it seems I'm the only one prepared to "tell all" (and face the possible consequences i.e. peachy kickin my ass :rolleyes: ).
Peachy scored Zane (I never saw this, but it's pretty much definite)... Then Peachy scored some bloke who's boards name I don't know (this happens a lot during this story, the only one I remember is JimmyEatMenu, an it wasn't him). I wish I could remember the boards handles for all the ppl involved, the story would be that much more compelling...

Well, technically he didn't get thrown out: What happened was, he felt sick so he staggered outside to get fresh air. The bouncer took one look at Zane as he stumbled out past him and said "he's not gettin back in - Too drunk", unaware that Zane is actually inebriated all the time, alcohol-in-bloodstream or not
I went back upstairs to tell the others this turn of events, and that we'd have to look for his stuff. Completely unsympathetic, every1 buggered off around 2! Leaving me to search the place for his stuff (Found the jacked half an hour later, when the joint was closin).
So there you are. If anyone feels the need to enlighten me as to the boards identities of the ppl who showed up (so's I can fill in the gaps), feel free.0 -

well seb i dont think JESJES will be too impressed that you cant remember her name! as for other boardsies in Doyle.....from what i can recall it was JesJes, Jimeatsmenu, Doodee, Nadir, Phaxx and SyxPaek.

Ah yeah, syxpaek, I can't believe I forgot him as well. Sound bloke, he actually came back to see if meself an Zane were ok (after every1 else had deserted us). Top bloke.
I'm actually getting a sudden urge to shut up and stop blabbing... This imparting of secrets makes me feel dirty - and not in a good way. (There is a good way, trust me. But this isn't it)

And about your notes Zane, I'm sure if you goto the heads of the departments or your lecturers and explain what happened they'll be able to give you copies of the overheads either for free or for very little. Hopefully most of your notes are simply the overheads and so can be gotten back easily. It's at least something, I know what it's like getting important things robbed on you and it's not nice at all.0 -

after you left, Red Alert and HappyCrackhead also left. So basically it was just Zane, Peachypants and I, so we split: I went to HappyCrackhead's house (he had my keys - long story) and i think they went to meet up wit the other boardsies... I have no idea which specific board their from, and truth be told I've only heard of Jim and Nadir, never seen any posts from the other lot.
But there ya go...

Yay I'm home after another booze fest down in Waterford for my future bro in law's stag weekend and holy f**k all of you guys are more concerned about my bag more than me!
I think everything is going to be grand. On Friday afternoon a girl phoned my house to say she had a bag belonging to yours truly. She said to my sister that she has gone home to Belfast for the weekend and would get in touch on Monday. Yay!!!! I dont know the circumstances of how she had the bag or anything but fair play to this girl. I'll certainly be giving her a massive thank you. I dont really give a damn about the possesions, my notes are the ones that are really worth anything. Anyways I'm well relieved after that little scare but I've got to cop on a bit more on the alcol. The amount of times I've lost my wallet is frightening and the fact only a week or so ago someone who I know lost a handbag in Doyles shows what a twat I am. I also lost a sportsbag on the DART 2 months ago with runners and sportsgear all in that. I think I need to chain all of my possesions to my body or something

In all in anyways I'm getting my bag back today. The girl found my bag OUTSIDE Doyles! Plus the fact she is a Trinners student is shocking. I never knew Trinners people were so sound? Big time kudos to her!0
