As a club? A seminar? An eight week course?

I imagine a few guys from the BJJ club would be interested in giving it a shot.

    Peace Out,
    Colm

    RedRaven,

Would be a good idea to talk to the mod here Colm O'Reilly. He set up the UCD BJJ club and could give you some advice on setting up the UCD club. I think his contact details are in his sig.

You should try contacting the kickboxing club in UCD. They have loads of lockers, hall space etc. and a good few of their members would come over to the Dark Side if they had a chance.

Well they should be having an AGM soon, so it depends who's on the new committee, but I still have some pull there, and I'd be surprised if they wouldn't help out.

Generally they're a pretty sound lot, apart from a few gob****es.

Failing that, a few teeps and knees to the noggin' will sort them out!

    imarugbyball,

You've got all summer to get prepared for Thai. My suggestion, read all you can about the spartans and do plenty of running!

    Peace Out,
    Colm

    Cool, running's my sport! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 966 ✭✭✭RedRaven

    Hey There Rugbyball,

Listen, Thai is for whoever wants to learn it but you should only learn if you want to,not because its kool, no politic no bulls**t,as for getting the S**t kicked out of by a 25 year old if you pay attention and learn what the eight weapons are all about then it shall be you who kicks the S**t out of those who deserve it,but there will be times when pain comes to town whilst you are training but thats not as bad thing pain is a wonderful teacher, I went through it we all went through it but dont let the fear factor get to you embrace it like a lost lover then knee and elbow the F**k out off it,ha ha.

As for cost, havent decided yet, equipment from Thailand and insurance im sure will dictate.

And as for the reading like the lads say, thats good but Im sure the lads will agree that doing is better!!!!

Look to your ancestors -read of the boyhood deeds of Setanta and the spirals of madness will take you!!!

    Thanks again,

    The RedBranch Muay Thai Club.

listen the way to euphoria is not through irish myths and folk lore ... its through the light shining from the ancient gods ..... spartans are the way to becoming a superb thai fighter .... purging of all fear... will ensure that the demons dont intefer with the elbows that cut like a rusty razor ....

    beat that raven ;)

    paddy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 966 ✭✭✭RedRaven

Ah words of wisdom from the Spartan Tiger are always welcome, Ancient gods and razors eh?
Im sure the shining light from the land of your ancestors "Ireland" will reach you quicker than the light from the gods of Sparta, whether you like it or not!!!

And I thought you prefered the sword over rusty Razors, and as the for daemons The light of Lugh the long arm will shine on you forever, even those who have forgotten or lost their faith!!!!
