Strippin' hair

Does anyone know a hairdresser that will strip colour(dye) from hair using *proper* hair strippes (ie. Colorfix) instead of trying to bleach it?

I don't want to risk loosing my hair. It's been bleached a bit before. But I really, REALLY want it bright red again, so I'll need to get it from faded dyed black to lightish brown at least.

Bleach it or strip it properly? I've been told they use harsh products that are essentially no differetn from Bleach.

They'll strip it, but with bleach :/ Or so I hear. I live in Limerick/Ennis.

I think it is becoming more common to use the one step colour system now in most hairdressers, you just need to ask them.

There is a box colour system called Smart Colour that allows you to do this yourself. I've only seen in it Dublin but I have never looked for it anywhere else. i'm sure you could find it in Boots or another pharmacy.

However this system, whether self done or in a hairdressers, does contain bleach. It just strips and colours at the same time. You will still experience colour fade, just not a quickly, and it will dry out your hair.
