On behalf of all sesame st. characters we did plan a wall out, but when the shows not on we are put in a box.

With only the internet to keep us company. :D

How ever my character may not be as sweet this season.

With the amount of rubbish kids eat today what is so wrong with the Cookie Monster now referring to cookies as a "sometimes food"?

They've always been very good at delivering social messages.

Sesame Street in South Africa has a muppet character who is HIV positive.

    That's kerazy!
How do muppets have unprotected sex?
Did he get it off the hand that was shoved up his ar$e?

Prehaps he was born with it.

    Perhaps he was.

i shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about such a serious matter as muppet aids!

It's a 'she' actually. Her name is Kami.

She was designed to fight stereotypes about people with the virus.

Snopes has lots of info on her:

I don't know if your being sarcastic. But if you are you should be a little more serious.

AIDS is a serious epidemic in South Africa (Africa and the World). The Idea behind the character is to allow children who have AIDS some kind of contact with something that can explain why they have the virus. And remove the stigma attached to the virus.

it seems that ABC productions have put the loveable blue furry... thing on a diet in an attempt to make kids do the same and cut down on child obesity, will it work tho? I think it might. Mr. Cookie has cut down on his diet of cookies and instead is eating fruit and telling the kids how bad eating too many cookies is

In one sketch they had, the one where he got 3 wishes from a genie and wanted a million cookies but had to get a place to store them first, he ended up eating a truck! How healthy was that? :)

Im sure they like to do that .... but for some reason at the moment its the television thats having to teach kids right and wrong, good and bad and in general raise kids insted of the parents.
