can i backup my ps2 memory card using the network adaptor ?

ive run out of space on the only memory card i own so i was wondering is it possible with some software to hook up a network cable to the ps2 and backup the saves to my pc so i can make room on the card.

Dont really fancy getting one of them was hoping for something i could download and run on my pc that could maby copy the details from the memory card over a network cable.
