    Hi Folks,

I am evaluating the website Amazon.com as part of a college project. I would be interested to hear from anybody that uses the website (Amazon.com or any of its affilaite websites).

Do you feel that you interact with others when you use the website?

As a member of the website do you feel you belong to a community?

If you have any feedback on the above I would appreciate hearing your comments.

    Thanks,

    J.

I would not go as far as to say that i feel like i am part of a community but the words "People who bought this also bought..." kind of makes it interesting.

    Hi Folks,

I have added a poll to the thread. I would appreciate it if you could take the time to vote.

Amazon.com attempt to engender a sense of community amongst its members through reader reviews and customers who purchased this also purchased etc etc ....

    Thanks,

    J.

I answered No I do not feel part of a community when using Amazon. It is a commercial profit making concern/business.

So, how on earth could it be made to feel like a community ?... ;)
