  • Hate it, it's not even nice, people just buy it for the name. I'm going to get a t-shirt made saying

    "Who are you Advertising for?"

    Why wear a sign?

    1 Euro'

It's like GAP in the early 90s... can you get the stuff in Ireland?
If not, its got that air of exclusivity, but cheap travel means its appearing more and more.
Not really into wearing big logo clothing myself though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 729 ✭✭✭crazy angel

lol ^^^^ good luck with that one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,645 ✭✭✭Shrimp

    off topic

  • for instance. When you wear this you are a walking advertisement, and you payed an extortionate amount to do it!

    same here
    11635_01_b.jpg

    and here
    10610_01_b.jpg

Over in America A&F is considered to be the Dunnes Stores/Pennys of the fashion world...

...not slagging off those two companies btw.

  • that's not a logo, that's a company's name stamped in huge lettering across your chest. A logo would be a bit more discrete. How can people not feel like their wearing a sandwich-board when wearing Abercrombie stuff?

but for example, the nike logo, is still universally known! ok so it may not stand out as much but your still being 'a walking advertisement'.

  • I agree with that too, but i think that Abercrombie are hiding their lack of creativity by just covering plain t-shirts in huge lettering, getting people to pay ridiculous prices for them and then getting more sale cause people follow the trend of being walking ads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,747 ✭✭✭Wez

D, yeh my mate was telling me that, I didn't beleive him, but then thought about how the Simpsons had Abercombie and Rich, as in fitch was cheapo etc. Hard to explain, but it's true apparently..

personally i agree with you! i dont wear abercrombie! but what you may think is boring or not very creative, someone else may love! if every company went all creative and different then it wouldnt really be creative or different any more

  • take the letters out of the t-shirt, look at what you get. Creative?
    11635_01_b.jpg

as a matter of interest, would you wear this?

  • The "salmon" t-shirt is very creative too.

Christ, am I the only one who's getting sick of this retarded use of "Ironing"? Knock it the **** off, it's far removed from funny or clever, and the 'joke' is wearing thinner than Ron Jeremy's underear.

I agree. And putting an end to "making baby jebus cry" would be great too....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,174 ✭✭✭D

No its not! My friends american and she said everyone loves abercrombie there !
Well where I was the local Americans said that only "thugs" (swear that was the actual word used) bought A&F, American Eagle or Aeropostale (called Paul Mark over here). But having said that it really doesn't matter as most people don't know that in Ireland and I have a very nice American Eagle Jacket. I'm sure that if Americans came over here they would happily buy Pennys. So they look on these brands the same way we look on Pennys Noname and Kappa.

Looks, for jebus sake, all this ironing is making baby jebus cry.

You can get it online. www.abercrombie.com. Costs loads to ship though and you may get hit for tax. BTW I love it and I am from the Northside.
