    just by accident i came across wscript.exe in my win98 folder.
    has anyone used this as in any shape or form or experience of writing windows scripts?
    just curious as to why its not used more.. seems to be quite handy.

    Personally, I don't use it by a Network Admin friend of mine says it's invaluable. You can find out more about it though @:

    Don't virii use that to deliver their payload a lot of the time?
    It always seems to be running in the proc list here in school any time stinkers like the ILOVEYOU and such virii are raping your outbox. When I kill the proc, said raping stops so it must have sumid to do with their method of activation.

    Yep, that's exactly how they work. Don't open any attachments with a .vbs or .js extention or .txt.vbs.

    vbs=Visual Basic Script

    js=Javascript

    (Hope that wasn't patronising smile.gif)

    On another note the UBB code tags are case sensitive. hmmmmm.

    When I was in an administrative job at Apple I cut my work in half using scripts, leaving plenty of time to watch the Matrix on Video CD smile.gif

    They can be invaluable.
