Correct Breathing while Joggin

    Can anyone tell me / explain the correct breathing method to use whilst jogging
    I just can't get it right :confused:

    In. Then out. Then in again. Then out again. Continue as long as you're jogging. (In fact, keep it up as long as you can, because my father stopped once and he died.)

    What exactly is the problem that you have when breathing?

    If you're new to it then perhaps just some practice running will let you get used to the pressure. There are various recommended rhythms of breathing based upon how many steps you take for various racing events (although how much use they are would vary from person to person I'd imagine) and a similar sort of idea could help you to regulate your breathing while jogging if that is what you mean?

    As above, I'm sure such things vary from person to person as to what exactly suits them best, but it may help you or give you ideas to get you on the right track.

    Does your breathing cause you to get a stitch?

    try breathing in for 4 steps then out for 3, after a while you will forget about it.

    but to be honest, the best thing you could do is slow your pace if you're getting out of breath.
    just slow down even to walking pace, if you find its too easy speed up, ou tof breath slow down.
    eventually you will find a rythm that suits you and as u get used to it you can speed it up.

    Your breathing rate will increase as your work rate goes up. As your body adapts and you get fitter, you'll require less breaths to get the same amount of oxygen into your lungs and your body's ability to utilise the oxygen will improve.

    I've never hear of a correct breathing technique, particularly for jogging. Every person's physiology is different i.e. lung capacity is different, ability to utilise oxygen is different, ability to expire CO2 is different. I would imagine it's very difficult to say what rhythm etc. a jogger should use.

    you might be jogging at a little too fast of a pace.
    Jogging should be easy to do and not place significant demands on your cardio vascular system. You should be able to hold a conversation whilst jogging and as such not need to thing about breathing.
